My point was and is, it all depends on what you want out of a system and
what you're willing to put into the project to get to "got what I
want". Personally, I wouldn't touch the Raymarine E Series solution
because it's far too expensive (roughly what we paid, in 2000, for a new
suit of sails for OWTW). But for someone who wants a turnkey
full-featured chartplotter system, there it is. As I've said before,
you pays your money, you takes your choice.
