Daysailing for two…

We are 5! [g]

Cramped or cozy...it's how you look at it I s'pose.

Dave brings up a good point. The more room, the better but there are
advantages to small.

- lower cost equipment ($600 vs. $1200 for a new winch)
- lower slip fees
- less draft
- not as difficult to lose stuff (I'm not sure how we still manage to)

We are comfortable with our little vessel. It's all we can do now and most
likely all we'll be able to do as a family. In fact, compared to what we had
(Capri 22), it's a palace. The longest voyage we've made was 10 days. During
that time we did not once feel cramped. In fact, with our busy schedules it
was nice to be so close.

Don't get me wrong, if we could somehow pull it off, I wouldn't think twice
about a 50'er...

So, if you're like us and you'd rather do it now while still required to
keep a 'normal' life, a Baba 30 fits the bill nicely.

We'd love to voyage, but it's just not in everyone's heart on my crew. For
now, we have to live vicariously through guys like Dave.

Cheers,
