Thanks, everyone, for the brain storming ideas. I'm on my way out to the
boat this morning and will start looking for the problem. The simplest
check would be to look at the prop pitch. Maybe the MaxProp did slip out
of adjustment. When this high RPM thing started I had just finished
filling the water tanks and topping off fuel. The boat was heavy and
maybe this affected the prop pitch. I have been late launching this year
and going to the dock was my first motoring since launch. I could have
pumped too much grease into the prop hub. I'll also check the stop screw
adjustment for the throttle.
