I'm currently in the process of finding a sailboat for an extended
cruising sabbatical. There are only two in the crew, so a Baba 30
seems to be a good compromise. It appears that the Babas were in
production from the mid-seventies to the mid-eighties. Since there
are several boats currently on the market representing the entire
range of production, I was wondering if anyone is aware of a resource
that describes the major changes over this timeframe.

All else being equal, one tends to seek a boat of the most recent
vintage available. Sometimes, however, changes in production do not
necessarily make this the best alternative with some models. Any
direction in this regard would be appreciated. If any of you are
uncomfortable with the aspect of making their opinions public, feel
free to answer off-list. Also, if any of you have a Baba 30 currently
for sale, feel free to forward information, photos, equipment lists,
pricing, etc.
