Okay, I'm starting to plan a big project. I need to do this sooner or later.
First, I just finished reading Peggy Hall's book. Some really great
information!
I created a diagram of my existing plumbing. Here is what I want (need?) to
do:
1. Install a new large tank in the V-berth. I have a bow thruster, so the
entire V-berth is not available, but a section in front of it is. I have
marked it on the overall diagram, as well as included pictures. I need to
get some dimensions and ask Ronco if they have anything close.
2. Install a vented loop on the freshwater intake, after the pump, as her
book suggests.
3. Vent the two existing loops.
4. Install a vented loop on the macerator pump.
5. Enlarge the vent on my existing holding tank.
Here are some questions I have:
1. Should I just replumb everything, since I know much of the system is
original (1983).
2. Should I try to use my original tank as a backup or abandon it? I don't
need the space in the bilge.
Here is where my pictures/diagrams are:

Thanks for your help.
