Hello Bruce,

Regarding question #1, I would strongly recommend replumbing all of the
system. It's a nasty, tedious job, but if you're going to do any major work
on your head system, you might as well replace it all and not take the
chance of leaving behind any components that might be worn, permeated with
odor or of low quality. On that note, replace the old components with the
best you can afford and, if you can do it, use PVC anywhere your holding
tank waste might set in the pipes/hoses, like at the bottom part of the
pump-out hose.

Regarding leaving the old tank, if you don't immediately need the room, why
not? Once your new system has been in use for awhile and is proven
effective, you can then remove the old one with no worries.
