My 2 cents worth.

I wanted all the things you describe, but wanted a drop dead beautiful
vessel capable of going anywhere in the world (regardless if that was
something I would consider) and be comfortable. The BABA is that vessel (in
my own biased, humble opinion).

Anyway, I have hull 227 of Baba 30

I had the small limber holes for the fuel tank "bilge"
I have numerous deck fiiting where the nuts are buried in joinery.
The vent hoses for the water and holding tank are buried in joinery.
The bowsprit chainplate fitting was buried in fiberglass gunk.

but, aha, sorry guys, but when i was looking for boats many years
ago, I had a basic question:

Can i remove the engine and fuel and water tanks withouth taking the
boat apart?

For the Baba 30, the answer is, no problema.

That was a no-go criteria in selecting a boat.

Okay, so I know i will get abused for this, but, if you buy a boat
with buried tanks, what were you thinking???
