Hi Paul. I did by the 50 amp alternator. I also have a device which I can use to increase to output from the alt. Still learning this one though.

  Did you take the engine with the standard alternator, 50A seems a little light for the kind of batteries you and I have?

  Hi all. A few months past, I polled the Baba 30 owners to see if anyone had installed a replacement engine for the Volvo MD 11. I thank all of you for your assistance. The replacement has been completed and here are the results.

  If anyone, in the future, should endeavor such a project, I would very strongly recommend the Westerbeke 30B. It is a simple drop in job.
