Pam,

        At 5' 11", I have generally been happy with my height, except when I
have to fold it into the BaBaBilge. Sometimes I've wished I had a
halyard on an electric winch to get myself out (but, ah, the feeling
of accomplishment...)

        If you're ever in the SF area, be sure to come see me and I'll
happily give you a non-guided tour of my spacious stern (the boat's,
I mean...) - which is at least roomier than it used to be before I
removed all the hardware for the wheel and converted to tiller
steering. While you're down there, could you see if you can find that
socket I dropped back in the last century?
