There was a big round of articals a while back on the
tayana board. I think some were ordered from tyana,
as they use the grand deer port lights. I have all 13
stored very well, as I know replacements are not easy
to come by. I have the screw holes on the butterfly
hatch and the for hatch that once attached screens
there and will be building replacements. One of the
PO's removed them. I saw some sliding covers for the
dorade vents on another boat that I will be building
soon, right now I use nerf balls to stop the airflow,
but with screens on the inside, this makes that not
work.
Here in the PNW bugs are not a problem, but I have
been places were no amount of deet (alaska aftershave)
has been effictive. With the problems with malaria
and dengi fever, good screens, are a must. Queensland
had 8 reported cases of dengi fever last year. So
it's spreading.
