I just laughed out loud at Bill's comments about "black death" from a
personal experience...not mine. I was parked next to a boat that the owner
decided to re-caulk the seams. He asked me how to go about it. My advice was
"not to." But if he really wanted to that he should start with several
gallons of acetone and lots of rags at the ready. I don't know how, but we
had spatters of black death aboard our boat, the dock had trails up to the
landing, and poor old Jose' to this day, I'm sure, still has traces if his
skin hasn't changed. By the way, that was 16 years ago, and Jose' is my
closest friend today.

The easiest way for Chuck Sawyer to get the entire deck recaulked is
to have
his brother Tom handle it - - by inviting all "Listers" down to the boat
on a nice, clear, sunny day.

They would all be happy to trade new and used boat parts for the
opportunity
to have fun with the Fein-tool, mixing the "Black Death", and
smearing it on each other.
