Little Things That Make a Difference

I'd like to open up a new thread on Little Things That Make a Big
Difference. We nominate the Hella Stalk Lamp.
This little device is permanently attached and wired and puts a 12 volt, 5
watt halogen light on a flexable 19" stalk right on whatever you are trying
to do - reading at night, fine tolerance work, navigation, etc. Since it
only uses 5 watts we can now stay up past dusk to read for as long as we
want or have background lighting for get-togethers (along with 5 watt
halogen "puck" lights) without putting much drain on the batteries. These
have made a huge difference in our anchoring lifestyle. We first put in two
on either side of the salon table but liked them so much we put two more in
the v-berth and one over the nav station. They are a little pricey, about
$45 at Port Supply, but in our opinion well worth the cost. They come with
clear and red lenses and a clamp to stow the stalk on.
Anyone else have a little device or habit that makes a BIG difference?
