The NOAA vector charts are easy to collect. A full set runs about
350-375M and the server is slow. Do the update on-shore and not via a
borrowed WiFi link. There are update sets but the chance for gaps in
the updates and the ability to get the whole set means that's what I
get. [grin]

There is also a similar source for raster charts:
http://nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/mcd/Raster/download.htm
but... each download can only involve 100 charts. That is, snag 100
charts, then go back in and grab another 100 charts, etc. Why the
raster charts and vector charts work differently is anyone's guess.
Point is, it's there and we'll have to deal with it.
