The brass post in our galley was cracked and I went to Hope Depot or Lowes ,
can't remember which and bought a new piece for a few bucks.. Already
lacquered..

Easy fix for those who don't want to polish..

BTW Steve welcome to the net.. We met at Roche this summer.

I am looking to reduce the amount of time that I spend polishing it.

I just removed it yesterday and really shined it back up.
