In Lorac, there are 1 1/4'" tube glassed into the bilge from the anchor locker to the bottom recesses of the bilge. The stray drips from the anchor locker seem to run through this tube to the bilge. I also noted that the shower pan drains into the bilge ( correction, used to drain into the bilge).
Fair winds, blue water.

Subject: [Baba-L] Drain Under the Anchor Locker in Baba-30?
Has anyone gone into the bottom of the anchor locker in their Baba-30? We have a very small drip, drip that started showing up, we first saw it far forward
under the floorboards. We traced it forward, under the Vberth cushions and storage, and it appears to be coming in at the point where the cockpit drain hose
comes into the V-Berth. The hose is in good shape, but there is some strange hardened goop around the hose where it goes into the anchor locker.
Then, we tested with a bucket pouring water over the anchor well; when some drips get in by the windlass on one side, or the anchor chain hawse hole
on the other (always a very little bit) it appears to go into a hole in the bottom of the anchor locker. Where does this go?
Our next big take-apart will be to unscrew the wooden floor in the V of the VBerth to try to track this down, but I thought someone on the net may have
done this already. My first inclination is to get some Boat-Life or other waterproof caulk and re-caulk the hose, but that still doesn't explain where in the
heck those stray drips from wet anchor chain and rode actually go, from the bottom of the anchor locker! Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks again and a Happy New Year to all! We are underway, cruising down the Florida coast, and, as always when you actually *use* your boat, things
are breaking and we're learning things we never thought we'd need to know! But having a good time with it all. We hope to be in the Bahamas in a couple
of weeks.
