Hi Rich,
I don't know if this is different on your T-40, but on our Baba 30, the
screws were hidden under bungs in the base. Check your base for bungs.
We had problems with the screws loosening from the sole so we dug out
the bungs, removed the screws, and replaced them with through-bolts. (We
still haven't gotten around to replacing the bungs and it looks like
heck, but boy is it solid!)
