I am not sure that 3YM20 and 3YM30 are the same enigine as 3GM and
3GM30. Fo example, the 3GM has a displacement of .879 and the 3YM20
has a displacement of .854 L. The 3GM has a weight of 130kg and the
3YM20 has a weight of 120kg.

Originally the 3GM (not 3GM 20) which is rated a 20 hp was installed
in the Baba 30 (if a Yanmar was installed).

Then sometime in the mid- 80's, for "marketing reasons" Yanmar
slightly redesigned the 3GM, resulting in the 3GM30 (I think), which
I believe is only 27hp.

Later Yanmar came out with a redesign.

The 3GM is more than adequate for the Baba 30, though I suspect
others have a different view.
