Question:
How do you get the fiberglass tank top into position under the floor?
Does this require cutting floor beams?

If so, why not just install a custom ATL fuel cell that does not require
cutting the floor beams instead of doing all the fiberglass work? I'm
told that if these cells are installed properly they can last 15 years
and some are still in service after 20 years. Installing them properly
means being sure water can drain from under the tank material and
insuring the tank will not move around and chafe on a rough surface.

I like the day tank idea but would make the tank a large one - 45
gallons or so - out of aluminum. I just like to know there is plenty of
"up-front" fuel available - no other reason than that.
