I respond and do not want to sound like a know it all. However, Marine grade
aluminum is the material of choice mfg., by a USCG certified welder. I
purchase the tank access plates separate and fully endorse 2 tanks if not
more. The more tanks you have your fiel separated in open more options for
polishing, using a day tank, etc. I also recommend a supply and return
manifold so each tank can be accessed separately and tied into the polishing
system. With this type of system onboard you should never have another fuel
problem as long as you own the boat. I polish my fule monthly, if I remember
and it is always fresh and ready to go. I also have 4 tanks, two @ 32
gallons and 2 @ 36 gallons. I redesigned the tanks so the top is wider then
the base and this increased the totaal capacity another 26 gallons.
