Rick,

Great writeup on the Xantrex Link 2000 monitor. I printed the post for
future reference. Back when I was deciding to install a battery monitor
I made the mistaken decision to go with the Ample Power System. Although
this is known to be very accurate it is also outrageously complex,
difficult to install and continues to build in error the longer you use
it without recalibrating. Every spring I have to go back and re-read the
archaic, techno-gibberish manual in order to re-program the system.
Installation took the entire winter and I was throughly surprised when
it worked the first time I turned it on. The Ample Power System was very
expensive and in the end provides enough information to confuse a NASA
rocket scientist. Out of all the data one can scroll through I use just
three fields and that's it!

Where is lightening when you need it?
