NAV station

So, while I had my camera at the boat today and at the same time also
finishing a job I never thought I'd ever get done, I photographed it too.
This is our completed nav station. I cut out Formica topped plywood to fit
the openings above, then mounted the radar screen in the smaller and a new
Garmin nav screen in the larger. At the rear of the tabletop I put a
six-inch wide by 3/8 inch teak plank (varnished, of course, to match) with a
boarder frame and cut out to hold the instruments, autopilot controller and
VHF radio. It sits about four inches out from the rear bulkhead. It does not
go full-length but stops short on the outboard end where the battery
switches are located. When I turned the power on this afternoon, everything
worked! Oh, to have such days....Neptune was surly smiling.
