Wow... Beautiful job, you will be the envy of the fleet for sure...
congratulations on a job well done.

Now for heat.

Actually both systems have their application especially if you are
installing air conditioning for warmer climates... then a reverse cycle or
better yet heater element forced air unit makes sense. This unit is needed
for going south; however, if your intensions are to go north then a diesel
circulating hot water system makes the most sense, this can heat water, heat
the interior cabin, diesel and gen set if you have one.

If you are a true world cruiser, both systems make sense if you have room. I
am currently planning on adding both of these units over the next couple of
years, 1st A/C heater 16000 or 18500 BTU. This unit will take me anywhere
but is power hungry and need to be dock side to use it.

The diesel heater (best from Germany if my memory serves me correctly) is by
far the most valuable unit using the small heating units and miniature 12
VDC fans the size of a cigar box commonly seen in RV's.
