We also replaced the finger latches with the type that Rick Cassano
used.
The reason, in addition to the occasional finger-wrench, is that the
new ones are secure at sea.
There were several occasions when something would shift inside a
locker at sea, hitting the finger latch,
and opening the locker. Stuff would go flying, always at an
inconvenient time.

At the time of purchase, there were two sizes of the same push latch.
The smaller one fit the
finger holes in the Tashing louvered locker doors, requiring only the
chiseling mentioned
by Richard to install.
