I passed on the Monitor wheel drum (stainless with a fast pin
inserted from the aft side) as well as the Fleming.

Ask around to have a look at an Aries drum. It is light-years ahead
in design and operation.

and you will see the drum. This is the company in Denmark, that is
apparently making the gear now.
You can probably get a price on line.

The Fleming, as you note, is bullet proof.
