And be sure you clean out the caulk just under the lip of the track -
otherwise you cars will jam.
Blue tape - very good idea - triple tape - 3 inches or so wide -
keep gunk of deck.
Also, this is a two person job - both removing and reinstalling.

And, also, important to use new ss fitings - and do not buy them from
West - try
Jamestown Distributors - great service and prices - buying ss
fittings is not like buying gold.

Take your time when you remove the screws and mark them - they may
not all be the same length because the deck is not always the same
thickness. Then buy new ones of the proper length (fill the holes
with caulk in the meantime). Be sure the new screws go in straight -
you do not want them higher than the track.

You may find that some of the nuts are in the worst places and you
may need a dremel tool to carve out bulkhead etc so you can get to the nuts.

Why do I know this - cause I had my tracks rebed, and the guy who did
it did not follow any of these tips - and so I will have to redo it this fall.
