I really cannot.

It would make no sense to replace the cable without testing the transducer..

So, I thought I would remove the transducer and test it - and at the
same time, check the continuity of the cable in the mast.

To test the continuity of the cable, I would get some less expensive
4 conductor cable, connect one end to the connector block at the base
of the mast and haul the cable up to the top of the mast and check continuity.
