Cindy,
Neat pictures of the wrens..what a special moment.
But hey...it's not just a west coast phenomena, we had a grey colored wren
land aboard off Long Island coming back from Block Island awhile back,
maybe 5 miles out in the Atlantic.
It landed on the coach house hand rails, but since my wife get's along with
wild birds somehow, before long she had it sitting on her finger and was
feeding the tired little guy bread balls and serving an especially fine
bowl of Poland Spring as a hearty accompliment to the meal.
Birds can crack their beaks if they try to smile..but this one looked like
he was going for it when he finally flew away.
