Dear Fellow Baba owners.

After four years of restoration of the Baba 1980, Hull# 88 Pamarno. I also have consideration of relocating the battery banks. The comment about a keel being a battery was great! Iam going to measure the upper bilge (under main cabin sole plate) and talk with my surveyor about the feasability of moving batteries into that space(braced and isolated in fibre-glass boxes). Also the interior protection at this location might be plus for fridig digit sailors. Of course, now I will have to store my canned goods elsewhere. Maybe where the batteries and the old 30gal water heater reserve tank lived. :(

There is one unresolved question that I offered about 4 years ago. Is there any trick to removing the "chinese puzzle" t/g sliding bunk boards that cover the port main salon bunk???? Carpel tunnel and the removal of bedded stainless screws to relieve each board, so far is my experience from updating the fuel and vent hosing, under the aft end of this bunk. There is a fore and aft batten across the underside of hull edge that prevents the t/g from completely silding out, but the fastenings are not available from above,as far as I can detect. Perhaps someone has located the exact location on or under specific t/g boards. (AhAhaa a secret).
There is a fresh- water port tank leak that's needs attention, so I also deal with a starboard list, due keeping the port tank empty until repaired. Which begs the question about the sliding puzzle.
  I have installed a Y valve on the brace where the old two water manifold valves were located, so I can select and trim the tanks or close both manifolds at the same time. This how I figured out the port water tank leak.

Just one thing leads to five others. Oh Well she is worth it.
