Be sure to use Gore-tex thread. the standard thread only last three
years and the entire project must be re-stitched. Gore-tex will last
longer than the Sunbrella. We have polycarbonate (hard) plastic windows
on the dodger and it lasted five years and we could not see out of it
anymore. As Rick said a snap on cover is a must to preserve all the hard
work and cost you put into the dodger. One other suggestion, I used
1&1/4" diameter stainless pipe to construct the dodger frame. This is a
very significant improvement in stability and makes a frame that one can
put a hard top on if you decide to do so. One inch diameter side
handrails and a handrail along the aft edge of the dodger is wonderful
for holding on in bad weather. If I can find the photos of our dodger /
bimini I'll post them to the Baba ftp site.
