Hi Van,
I think my drawing is not very clear, I have marked the grid to the sprit,
but the 30ft mark is just on ( perhaps just past) the stem.
I got out my original plans for the boat and measured back 16ft and it is
just about where I had it, just as the turn into the keel straightens up.
I had a go at adjusting my poor PowerPoint sketch to show it better.

Your drawing is incorrect as the center is from the STEM(forward , as in bow
not stern) Sixteen feet from the STEM as Perry calls it (the beginning of
the fiberglass hull, not the bowsprit)..
