I had hoped to launch today after a few weeks in the yard, however the yard
managed to get it wrong when trying to get the boat onto a parker-trailer.
They removed the front props and the boat fell over.
Looking at the picture it seems that the centre of gravity must be in front
of the front of the keel. I don't think they or I appreciated this. They
assured me that most other long keelers can be supported on the keel and
with props at the stern.
Anyway, besides slight damage to the next boat and the loss of a stanchion
and a bit of gelcoat the baba survived very well. The surveyor was very
impressed with the strength of the hull as a the full weight was supported
on the keel and on a few square inches of hull near the forward hanging
locker.
