We use Detco Crystal almost exclusively. I've used Epifanes Gloss a
couple of times, but I've always had trouble getting it to flow. (It's
probably a technique issue.) The Crystal has been great. We first saw it
being used on a restoration project and the results were awesome. It
builds fast and flows well. The UV resistance is excellent, except in
places where the teak is exactly perpendicular to the sun (like the
upper inside edge of the coaming). It's a nice nice clear amber color,
maybe just a shade darker than Epifanes, and it lasts very well. A bit
cheaper than Epifanes, but more than Schooner.

I'm no varnish nazi, but nothing looks like the real thing.
