I was wondering if other 30 owners have an iron/steel fitting on top of the
ballast on the bottom of the compression post. Mine has some corrosion and
I was going to grind it a bit and repaint it (again). Then I was also
thinking of replacing it with stainless steel so it is the same composition
as the post. But what about the fasteners? And, of course, just getting at
it all? Anybody ever do anything down there?

I am also thinking of changing the double sink to a single sink and adding a
radar/solar arch/davits system. Any input would be appreciated.
