We have Spartight installed with very good results. The mast deck space is
water tight and quiet. Ours was installed by a rigger last time the mast was
pulled and work done. He did a great job - very clean install.
One suggestion: Before you pour in the Spartight be absolutely sure the mast
is exactly where you want it to be as far as rake and port / starboard
orientation goes. Once the Spartight is cured only small tuning corrections
are possible. If you decide you want the mast step a little further forward
or aft you may be out of luck getting this changed.
In any case, Spartight is a big improvement to the wood wedges we had
before. There is a shelf life limit on the can so be sure it's not a couple
of years past this date.

Subject: [Baba-L] Spartight
Has anyone used Spartight? I just found a kit left on board by the
previous owners. My mast is rather noisey underway and I was thinking of
trying the stuff out. I'd like to get feedback if anyone has used it.
Thanks,
Cherie
