Hi Dave,

I have to admit that I was really surprised to see your images in the
post. No one else has ever been able to do that! I suppose a good
administrator would just say "no images - no attachments" and leave it
at that, but I'm too lazy for that kind of management. I do think that
non-image attachments should not be allowed. This has more to do with
the potential for spreading virus/trojan infected material than anything
else. I'm working on adding a procmail script to strip certain types of
attachments, but I haven't gotten to that yet.

So, to answer your question, if you can compress your images small
enough that the listserv will handle them (as you did), I don't have an
issue with that. But, please no executables or other non-image files.

While on the subject of files in emails, It appears that we are about to
get another big virus/trojan flood after the first of the year. Everyone
should make sure that the signatures for their anti-virus software are
up to date!
