To all those who's "feathers got ruffled":

It surely wasn't my intention to open a hornet's nest with my
posting... nor did I realize I was breaking any "rules". I was merely
trying to share a great value with the group. Considering all of the
solicitations I've received regarding boats and equipment for sale
(directly and through the general postings), it never occurred to me
that I was creating the error of the century.

As a result, I've spent the past 20+ hours (non-stop) re-branding my
Charts site and have now restored http://HighSeasDrifter.com to its
original state (big job), which was created as a free source of
reference material for someone searching for a cruising boat to buy.
That site was a "work in progress", based on the research I did
during my own search... a search I had hoped was over. Since the site
had never officially launched, I used the domain as a convenient
medium to get the word out to Baba-L regarding the Charts DVD.
Actually, the DVD offer has not been released to anyone other than
Baba-L either (which is why I discounted the price by $30). The
charts site has now been relaunched (with 5 new domain names), after
having re-branded it.

I will now quietly back out of Baba-L and continue the search for my
next boat. I believe that when purchasing a vintage boat, factory
support becomes overshadowed by the existence of a good owners
association... one in which members try to help one another, without
throwing their weight around and "jockeying for position". Hopefully,
that association... and the right boat... exists somewhere.

As I part, allow me to extend my apologies again for such a
horrendous oversight. You might wish to check out HighSeasDrifter.com
(now restored to it's original content). Among other things, the site
includes a database of over 1,800 vintage boats (no new boats) and
allows comparison of all major computed performance metrics. It also
gives single-click search results for Boats.com, BoatTraderOnline,
Google, etc. I don't believe there's a utility like this anywhere on
the net! The site is free, though I should warn you that there is a
commercial link within it... just don't click it!
