First, what year is your boat. From your address, it is clear you are
in salt water. Maybe you have the last original tank???

When I replaced my tanks in 1986 (they were two years old and the
surveyor failed them), I had two fiberglass tanks fabricated. They
have worked fine all of these years. But, I got a little greed and
tried to gain some tank capacity and made the top of the tank too
high making it impossible to properly vent the tanks. As a result I
have always had a terrible time filling. I have to go very slow to
avoid an overflow. So my advice is to think the venting through very
carefully to assure an easy and quick fill. I also installed a tank
tender which works very well.
