I have the Shurflo "Blaster" deck washdown pump installed for two seasons
now. Very nice pump - less noise than the original Groco deck washdown, C60.
>From the 3/4" thru-hull I installed a raw water filter above the waterline.
If you install below the waterline you must use one of those heavy ABYC
approved filters. The pump needs to be above waterline as well. There is no
accumulator tank as one is not needed. The pump runs on demand for as long
as you need to clean the anchors. I recommend you run all 3/4" hose to keep
volume high until the water supply reaches the hose and nozzle. This will
give the best pressure for blasting away the mud. The hose we use is the one
sold at West Marine that coils up like a spring. I think this makes a
difference over larger diameter garden hose. I have a PDF file on
Installation if you want it off list. The Groco pump worked great for
several years but is a very expensive pump with a problematic check valve
and lots of parts. Switching to the Shurflo, in my opinion, has maintained
the performance I had with Groco.

P.S. I recently saw a new, very large, high pressure model of a
Surflo or other major brand pump, for use
as a deck/anchor wash, without an accumulator tank. Does anyone know
which brand and model it could be?
And, has anyone used one of them and can give a report on pressure
and volume of water flow?
