Yes, the Baba-Birthday seems to have a lot to do with it's particular
set of issues. I suspect that Master Huang may have trained a set of
workers and set them loose to build Babas while he went off to the tea
house. Sooner or later he would return and notice problems. He'd come
up with a solution and then back to the tea house. Repeat as necessary.

Mandisa was built in 1984 and a lot of the issues from the earlier
boats seem to have been resolved by the time she was built. This is
not to say that she isn't full of surprises, but that some of the
nasties aren't as bad.
