I agree wit your words of caution... but so far no ill effects. Also I just
go under the principal if the toilet pump and associated valves last more
then a year without a problem calling for a re-build, well... you are doing
good. Of course, a lot has to do with how much use they get as well,
certainly under constant cruising conditions the wear is increased many
times just through daily use alone. These oxygenated products seem to be
great "so far," but I think they are probably much like the use of O3 to
some extent because they seem to be so effective. O3 is great, but it oxides
at a much higher rate when it is concentrated or directed in a specific
direction. I like the use of O3 in the bilge and when I am not on the boat
to breath it, as it completely eliminates all odors, and these O3 generators
are now sold for boating and residential applications. The problem with them
is that the user has to be aware of the potential dangers and not breath a
concentration of this gas, so it is best used with a blower to diversify the
gas especially when on board. Since I got into this before the new units
were introduced, my blower and generator are separate, but wired to work
together.

Probably difficult to find the perfect product and like some say, just the
use of vinegar (I guess the color is white, gathered from earlier emails)
goes a long way. I just happen to be one of those nuts that enjoys
experimenting, and sometimes this gets me in to trouble too. So far this
Ultra Oxygen Cleaner is working great. I keep a spray bottle in the head to
use in the sink and toilet after every use, the bowls are spotless. Then I
keep another in the galley and spray several shots down the drain with no
ill side effects so far. The experiment has begun, I will try to post if I
encounter any problems with this product.

Only time will tell whether or not it's doing any damage to the rubber
parts in your toilet or your hoses.
