Sigh... long story short, the proposed idea was shot down by the yard
and by AYBC. Hard plumbing is a no-no and the same is true for any sort
of hole (i.e., for the spigot) near the bottom of a fuel tank. Since
one 6' tank can't be installed without doing violence to the joinery,
the only choice is two 3' tanks with attendant valving and plumbing.
Which, IMHO, leaves too much room for Murphy to play in. But then, so
does, it seems, the earlier scheme. BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand...
