I picked up a QUICK GENIUS 1000 WINDLASS on eBay last year for about $600.

This worked out really well as I didn't need to change anything on the baba,
the chain (8mm) drops straight into the locker. I haven't really given it a
major stressing but it seems to be man enough for the job on recent outings.

The only downside is that this model doesn't have a rope gypsy.

A windlass for our Baba 30 is probably in order since playing ice hockey at
50 years old has revealed some tennis and golfer's elbow in the "old
windlass"...me.

I looked at the Quicks and would like to know what models seem to work well
on the Baba 30 bowsprit and chain hawse pipes. I think I need new chain so
matching that to the gypsy would be appropriate now.
