Here is a picture that I took today of the location of my rudder sensor for the Raymarine S1 autopilot. The mounting is made out of 3/8 marine ply and epoxied to the side of the hull. The sensor arm is attached to the rudder quadrant so that it is parallel to the quadrant side extending from the rudder post.
