We know how to solve that problem.

Only keep dull knives on board. That way, when you need to cut salami,
you'll be forced to use a hacksaw which means you'll have to cut it in the
cockpit since the hacksaw is buried somewhere in the lazarette.

At least, that's what I've heard some people do. Not any 'people' I would
know, mind you.
