On a Baba 30, I would stick with the a removable forestay and no
furling if I sailed mostly in light air. Basically, in the
Cheseapeake, I generally sail as a sloop.

But, were I in San Fransisco bay, I might fit roller furling for the staysail.

My biggest problem with a non-furling staysail on the Baba 30 is how
to store the staysail when not in use or if the inner stay is
released and pulled off to the side. There is not much room on the
foredeck and I have yet to come up with a good sail bag-tube. If I
have any expectation of winds over 15 knots, I do want to have the
staysail hanked on even if the inner-stay is pulled back. So, I
really want to get a well designed bag so that the staysail can be
tied off when not in use.

Another issue is that it give me great comfort in real blows to hank
on a good storm sail to the inner stay and reef the main all the way
down. I would not want a furling staysail in that situation.
