Propylene glycol vs. ethylene glycol

It's ethylene glycol that poses a number of environmental and personal
health risks. So-called "potable antifreeze" (AKA "pink pop") uses
propylene glycol, which is safe for winterizing potable water systems.
'Course, in the "good old days", when we had a Seafarer 26 with a water
tank I could just about carry under my arm, we just ran some cheap vodka
through the lines and called it a day. And got a nice buzz in the
spring as the lines cleared themselves... [LOL]

Cheers,
Rick Emerson
