This would be a good occasion to replace those classy old running lights
with a spiffy LED. The units you show in your pictures probably are 25
watts, i.e. 2 Amps per hour. Multiply by three (port, starboard and stern
lights) that's 6 Amps per hour. If you're sailing in winter (ca. 12 hours),
that adds up to an overnight consumption of about 72 Amps!
If you shift to LEDs, they draw about 150 milliAmps per light, or about 450
mAmps. Thus, for the comparable 12 hours of night sailing, you will only use
ca. 5 Amps (vs. 72 Amps!). That will save about 2 hours of engine running
time just to recharge your batteries.

LEDs are clearly the way to go on a sailboat.
Anchor Light LEDs provide comparable savings to your battery bank.
