Cindy,
Over the years, we have re-upholstered about six or seven boats. Laura is
correct. Local upholsters usually can provide materials of any choice. We
found with hard and near constant living aboard for many years that a medium
to dark color nylon velour held up the best. It cleaned easily and the
wicking ability kept it dry-or feeling so-even when water was flowing
through the cushions. Its appearance, when combined with the teak interior,
gave an impressive elegance-fitting for our boats.
