I have been beefing up the wiring on a new Jenneau 49 and have been able to
get into every system and structure on the boat . . .

Wouldn't own one . . . the construction, joinery an workmanship is moderate.

Because of modular construction the interior wastes an amazing amount of
space . . . It does make running wires a dream . . .

We brought her down long island sound in 40-50 knots right on the nose in
4-5' seas . . . we averaged just under 6.5 knots which was amazing but of my
goodness when we crashed into a trough . . . the boat would flex enough to
make the aft cockpit doors snap open . . . you could actually watch the back
stays sag when the mast pumped . . . we broke latches throughout the boat .
. . the lines are lead aft through tunnels . . . when you popped the bow
under a wave and picked up a big scoop of water it would roll down the deck
and the line tunnels would act like venturies (sp?) and shoot the water
across the cockpit . . .crazy

On a baba it wouldn't have been a fun ride . . . in fact I would have
dropped the hook somewhere sheltered and found a pub . . . but nothing would
have broken or come apart . . . the flip side in those conditions I would
have probably been making 3.5 knots . . .

So revel in the strength of your hull and safety it provides . . . we
simply have great boats . . .
