As I mentioned recently on main reefing, I copped out and got the in-mast
furler. I promised photos and took some today. Note: there are only two
winches on the mast and nothing on the boom. Two lines control the sail: one
(outhaul) runs from the boom at the gooseneck back to the cockpit on the
starboard side through a stopper and uses a winch on the trunk top. The
other line (inhaul) leads from the mast to a similar setup on the portside.
That is it. With these two lines and the traveler, the main can be shaped to
any form desired.
